General


We do not have a store front for walk in customers. All communications regarding an order must be made through email or using the chat feature on our site. This ensures that there isn't miscommunication and keeps a track record of all conversations. All orders must be placed online. After an order has been placed online, we are unable to add items to the order. You will need to place another order to add items. In the event of a database crash or interruption, any affected order will be refunded and need to be re-purchased by the customer. Customers will be notified in such an event.  

We are happy to respond promptly to questions about an order you are placing or have placed though. That’s our job as a supplier and we are great at it! 


Pictures/Videos

We try our best to show any flaws or signs of wear in all photos. All saddles being sold here are used and will show signs of wear but have been inspected and are in good usable condition.


Shipping

We only ship within the continental US, excluding: Alaska, California, and Hawaii. All packages that are sent to a residential address are sent "No Signature Required". Your package will be left where the carrier driver feels best to leave it. If your package is stolen or misplaced it is between you and the carrier to resolve the issue. We will assist in the process the best we can but will not be liable for the loss as it is not our fault. If your order is lost by the carrier, we will need to put in a claim. We will not refund you until our claim has been processed or the package arrives back to our facility. Once we receive the reimbursement from the carrier for the lost package or the package is returned to our facility, we will reimburse you for the original order. We stay very busy and do everything we can to ship your order out as soon as possible. We typically have a 2 business day lead time for orders to ship. Please allow us at least 5 business days before inquiring on the ETA of your order. If you decide you can’t wait and want to cancel an order BEFORE IT SHIPS, there will be a 10% restocking fee NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the carrier has picked up your order, you will be sent tracking information and be able to gauge the ETA. 


Damaged Items During Shipping

Upon delivery of your order please inspect packages for visible shipping damage. If damage is apparent, please let the driver know and open the package to inspect it. If you open the package and damage is found, please reach out immediately so we can get the claim process started for you. If you wait too long, we may not be able to file a claim and you will be stuck with a damaged saddle. So PLEASE let us know quickly. Not when you “get back in town”. If you are going to be away when the saddle is delivered, please have someone available to inspect it when it comes in. If the damage is minor on a saddle, we may give you the option of keeping the saddle and put in a claim for minor repairs. This does NOT mean we will process fraudulent claims for wear and tear on a used item. If your item comes in too damaged to repair, we will require you to pay to ship the saddle back to us for so we can put in a claim. A refund will be sent after the claim is resolved. You will receive your tracking number when the shipping label has been printed.


Missing Items

Mistakes happen, and we'll gladly correct them. However, all packages must be examined for order accuracy upon receipt. If an item is missing, please notify us within (5) business days of delivery (as determined by your tracking number's delivery date). Once notified, we will conduct an audit to determine if an error has been made. If the audit indicates the item was not sent, we will send you the missing item at no additional charge. 

 

ALL SALES ARE FINAL/ NO REFUNDS UNLESS DAMAGED BY CARRIER AND THEN A REFUND WILL BE ISSUED ONCE CLAIM IS RESOLVED

We Require ID Verification To Purchase A Saddle 

If you are purchasing a used saddle, Please take a moment to pass our ID verification process immediately after check out. Tack Shopper LLC has this policy in place to protect our business from charge back fraud. IF YOU DON’T SUBMIT A CLEAR PICTURE OF YOUR CURRENT ID WITHIN 24 HOURS, THE SADDLE WILL BE RE-LISTED AS AVAILABLE AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED A 10% RESTOCKING FEE! NO EXCEPTIONS! 


WE PRESS CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR CHARGEBACK FRAUD 

We take theft very seriously and will press criminal charges for larceny if someone disputes their transaction with their bank (regardless of the dollar amount). Our software allows us to monitor each transaction and track IP addresses. We know that most of our customers would never do something dishonest like this, however, there are some bad people out there and this is our friendly warning. 


Selling Us Your Saddle Outright

If you have a high quality, name brand barrel racing saddle and need the money now, we are happy to make you an outright purchase offer. Simply fill out the “Sell Or Consign Your Saddle” form at the bottom of this page and we will be in contact requesting pictures and saddle specifications. Please keep in mind that a saddle depreciates a lot once it’s considered used and we still need to make a profit after reconditioning. We typically appraise saddles by searching online for what comps are currently selling for before making an offer. If you accept the offer, you are responsible for shipping the saddle to us and as long as it’s not damaged, we will send you the agreed amount through your choice of PayPal or a check in the mail. If your saddle does come in damaged, you are responsible for covering the shipping back to you and will need to pay for a label and email it to us to print. If you want a little more for your saddle than what we offer and don’t need the money instantly, we recommend taking advantage of our consignment program.


How Our Saddle Consignment Program Works

We Agree On A Selling Price

Once you fill out our “Sell Or Consign Your Saddle” form at the bottom of this page, Jordan Arnette will reach out to you to request additional information and discuss a reasonable listing price for your saddle. Our listing fee is 30% of the price the saddle sells for.

You Ship Us Your Saddle

We require the saddle in our possession to take professional photos and list it. You are responsible for shipping us the saddle through UPS or FedEx. Please do not send the saddle through USPS. We have had the best luck using “Pirate Ship” and selecting UPS as the carrier. This seems to be the most affordable and reliable way to ship a saddle. We recommend using a heavy duty, double wall, boxes and enough bubble wrap to keep the saddle from moving around inside the box. If your saddle is damaged on the way to us, you are responsible for filing a claim and for the shipping cost back to you. You would just pay for a label then email it to us to ship it back. If a saddle is packaged properly, there is a very slim chance of it being damaged by the carrier.

We List Your Saddle

Once your saddle arrives, we will immediately give it a thorough cleaning and take professional photos of it. Then, we will list your saddle on our website, post it on our Facebook page, post it into saddle groups on Facebook, and send the information to our large list of buyers looking for saddles in that particular size. Our consignment period is five weeks. In the rare case that we aren’t able to sell your saddle in that time frame, we will offer to ship the saddle back to you on our dime, or keep possession of the saddle and keep it listed. If we do decide to keep it listed, at this point we may discuss lowering the price. If you decide you need your saddle back before the five week consignment period, you will be responsible for shipping costs and the listing fee for 30% of the selling price.

We Sell Your Saddle & Pay You

When your saddle sells, we will pay you the selling price of the saddle, minus our 30% fee within 3 business days. We can either pay you through PayPal, or send you a check in the mail.
